Swing Paradise is organised by What a Jazz dance studio, by dancers and teachers who are Vilnius swing dance scene leaders with 10+ years experience organising local & international events.

Expect top-notch organisation. We aim to create an ultimate swing experience: dance classes with true to the core swing dancers-teachers, authentic swinging music of 1930s-1940s with original and modern touch, beautiful Vilnius old town venues at your best walking distance, spectacular on-time evening program with plenty of time to social dance.

Even though we focus on fast swing dances as Balboa & Shag, we invite all swing dancers to one dance floor. Swing Paradise festival vision is immersive swing music and dance experience – expect a very wide range of tempo in the music, some waltzes and ballads, orchestral arrangements, even some time to sit down and enjoy the concert*.

Swing Paradise 2024 program starts on Thursday with outdoor social dance at riverside and extraordinary party at former prison with The Schwings Band. On Friday there are dance classes already, additional special workshops and unique concert by Vilnius JJAZZ Ensemble, our local modern jazz big band. Friday, Saturday and Sunday parties are happening at Vaidila Theatre.

Our local swing dance rockstar Pamela Gaižutytė runs her own shoes brand P.MELA SWINGIN’ SHOES and invited us to make a special collaboration dedicated to Swing Paradise. Again!

We introduce you three unique limited edition designs handcrafted by professional artisans right here in Lithuania using factory waste leather.

Did you know that the very first Swingin’ Shoes edition was dedicated to Swing Paradise? We loved it so much, we’re back again by celebrating the best moments of the festival! We introduce our shoes while dancing at Lukiskes Prison 2.0, a place that adds magic to our everyday dancing and wows all the dancers visiting the event. Once a prison, it’s now a cultural hub and home to What a Jazz studio and Swing Paradise’s Thursday party.
